House of Baulch is the continuation of the creative journey of Kathryn Baulch.
Growing up in a household where the arts were celebrated and artistic expression was nurtured and encouraged, there was no doubt as to the future direction that life would take.
Following a degree in Fine Art with a major in gold and silversmithing, Kathryn took her technical skills in jewellery making and her interest in fashion into the commercial sphere.
Prior to establishing her own company, her enthusiasm and versatility has led to an inspirational body of work within the industry, not least of which includes her five years as the head jewellery designer for Australian accessories company MIMCO.
The House of Baulch is an expression of Kathryn’s self driven design exploration and a showcase for her ability to inspire and delight with the output of her fertile imagination.
Passionate about her practice, Kathryn’s creative ethos is founded on the belief in the universality of good design. Her rigorous hand working of materials combined with the utilisation of industrial processes make innovation an element that is central to her challenging and often extravagant designs.
Frequently blurring the lines between jewellery and garment, House of Baulch’s strongly thematic collections continue to push creative boundaries while consistently maintaining brand integrity.
